Has anyone heard of a computer hardware liquidator call High Point of America highpointamerica.com.

Any advise about buying a monitor from this type of outfit? They specify whether item is new open box, refurbed or whatever. I have never dealt with a liquidator and would like to know experiences of those who have.

The Dream Team strikes again<g>

I flip flopped on the ECC issue many times, but in the end cheaped out and went
with non-ECC. How strong is your perception that ECC will make a difference
waylaying crashes hangs and the like?

I strongely feel that everything should use ECC. Without ECC when you get memory related errors they will appear as unkown errors. With parity or ECC memory you will know that a RAM was the culprit of the problem and not software. That alone is worth the price of admission alone. we use Parity and ECC on almost everything we build for this reason. It has proved invaluable every time. Saves our customers time in isolating problems. Save us time in debugging field and manufacturing failures. If parity or ecc is an option I will always choose it...

Linux is just another flavor of unix that runs on PC's and has good software support as far as unix goes. Its of very little interest for most folks due to the limited software support for WinTel Applications.
