H&Q -they re-initiate coverage with a buy rating

What does it mean to re-initiate coverage? H&Q have been covering RMBS since the IPO. Did they drop coverage, change analysts? Does this just mean they did a periodic update of their coverage and concluded it is still a buy?

MH…It was my understanding the vendor reports to RMBS when they ship. GAAP would most likely require RMBS to accrue the sale at that point as a receivable. The principle is to match the sales revenue to the period it becomes a legal obligation by the vendor to pay RMBS. No way would an audit accept matching sales with actual cash receipts.
