Freind / Convertible Debentures

The Big money only cares about the interest payments. They will buy the debentures for the interest. To hedge themselves they will short the stock. It does not matter what happens then to the stock price, they will collect their interest. When the convertibles are converted, they use them to replace the short. They have their 6% or whatever with little risk.
