I see the Fed is adding reserves often these days. What does that mean when they add 3-5 billion in overnight repurchase agreements. It would seem to be expanding the money supply by whatever the reserve requirement is. Is that right or do I have it all wrong. And if all wrong explain the significance to me of these additions. thanks
