Informix and Siemens Establish Joint Worldwide Business Unit; Longstanding Relationship Results in Business Unit for Single Source Solutions
MENLO PARK, Calif--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 7, 1998--Informix Corporation (Nasdaq:IFMX), the technology leader in enterprise database-powered solutions, and Siemens AG of Munich today announced they have jointly formed a worldwide business unit based in Munich.
This business unit will enable both companies to jointly expand into new markets while also providing increased levels of service for the existing and future customer base.
The new venture strengthens the already proven 16 year relationship which to date has successfully completed over 80,000 installations worldwide. The companies will jointly develop product offerings and marketing programs targeted for vertical segments such as telecommunications, government, enterprise resource planning (ERP), labor authorities and others.
