SO WHAT YOU ARE SAYING IS THE THE FACILITIES THAT IXC HAS THAT DCTC WILL UTILIZE ARE WORTHLESS. THAT MAKES NO SENSE EVEN FOR YOU.

It is STRANGE that DCI might have to "pay the price" to develop a working relationship with this new Company.

Why not just work together. Period. WHY muddy up the waters with the issuance of stock and assumption of trade receivables?

Well after thinking about it for a while, perhaps IXC wants to take a position in DCI. 13% now. Maybe more later?

They have just now effectively bought into DCI and taken a tax write-off all at the same time! Perhaps the receivable IS collectible to the extent DCI is paying for it. Perhaps this way IXC got a needed tax deduction at year-end (just my guess).

Perhaps IXC will be in a position to acquire a significantly higher percentage of DCI down the road. Do they want to?

I guess we need to know what's IXC's "intentions" with their 4 million+ DCTC shares.

Dr. Moze,

I'm curious as to your explanation of why IXC is writing off this debt they are supposedly "selling" to DCTC.

What this does is it gives DCTC a global presence with all of IXC switching systems. DCTC doesn't have to collect the debt, they cut out the middle man. I wish I could explain it the way I was told, but DCTC is not assuming debt, they are helping out IXC. Which will cut DCTC ability to be a 1 billion dollar company time frame from 2 years about in half. its the access to becoming a world wide telephone company for DCTC which is important.
