I agree with you. An AV spin off with a one billion value would produce a $5 stock with 200,000,000 shares. This would give a CPQ investor one share of AV for a little over 8 shares of CPQ. A one for eight or ten spin off. Then the new AV company would have more overhead and fewer resources then it currently does as a Compaq division. It is a better value for investors as a member of the CPQ group.
