I don't think anything is going to happen now. There was talk at the time that the DEC networking unit had missed the curve and it looks like that was true. The only positive (maybe CS even knew this then) is the CPQ purchase committment, which, unfortunately, also has yet to show the hoped-for results.<< As for acquiring DEC's 'major' sales channels: I have not seen it mentioned on this board previously, but Giulio Gianturco, the man credited with establishing DEC's channel, and the man charged with building Cabletron's channel has quietly defected to Newbridge Networks. biz.yahoo.com As far as I know, no word from Cabletron about his replacement.
