The funny thing about shorts is that they get burned just as much as a regular investor and often worse due to what might seem like an infinite loss while chasing a bid up high. I once shorted two very well known Canadian Retail Sector stocks as i was convinced that the holiday season was reported to be poor and therefore stock preformance should follow. What I didn't realize is that they also anticipated slow seasonal sales and adjusted inventory accordingly as well as did not over staff on seasonal employees. Furthermore one of the companies announced a stock buy-back that led to an 11 thousand dollar loss for me. The moral of the story is you can get burned either way. I have now decided to stick to much less risky endevours such as playing penny mining stocks and have found it to be much less stressful than shorting companies. I do not believe that shorts have a great deal of impact on the market through internet lies and hype but instead only benefit the market when it turns to the upside and they chase the bid to cover. Great discussion on this thread by the way. :-)

I don't know anything about STEN, but if you're promoting it on this thread, it just might be a great SHORT!
