Agree, but there is still that nagging little issue of bandwidth.
This will kill them long-term if they don't solve it!

<<...that nagging little issue of bandwidth.>>

That issue is going to be settled in the VERY near future...BancBoston Robertson Stephens Internet Analyst Keith Benjamin stated a few short weeks ago he expected a cable deal to be signed BEFORE the end of the year...Even if that time frame is a little off, there will be one coming FOR SURE.....

I would look for a bandwidth partnership that may not be exclusive in nature as well...There may be wireless, satelite, xDSL, AND cable deals in the near future...I don't think AOL wants to be limited in their areas of expansion......The first deal announced will be the Cable deal, and real soon I believe..

Regards, George

Re: bandwidth; trouble meeting demand

On the advice of my dad, a longtime AOL subscriber, my sister got a trial subscription; she couldn't get on *once* in the first month; they gave her a second free month, ditto. She gave up. I'm not there to troubleshoot, so don't know what's going on, but the AOL rep told her they're expanding in her area but still having trouble meeting demand. As a sister I told her to try some other ISP; as a stockholder I can only hope people will think, as many seem to think about Microsoft, that there's no alternative :-}
