>>>IMO, CheckFree has killed this argument: Remember a few days back, that MicroSoft Executives who is on loan to Toilet Paper. Knocking the Orcale Bill & Pay because it wasn't a service bureau consolidator? No...it's not, it's more...it's everything Toilet Paper is, plus adds the dimension of 1 to 1 presentment, and hosting of bills at the billers' server or on CheckFree servers. Call This the Cow Model, because of the BS. Now...In the CyberCash Presentation on Presentment they Knock Personal Financementment Software, and build up the 1 to 1 presentment model. Call this the Chicken Model. Why is it that the competition always knocks what they can't do? I mean CyberCash has not a SnowBalls Chance in Hell of doing the Payment of an e-Bill from within Quicken or Money...so they knock it. Call this the Fish Model. And while all this is being said by the Competitors....one thing is pretty clear to me....CheckFree can do everything that any one of them can do plus provide more distribution options....then all competitors combined. Which is good, because how the bill will be received is a consumer specific issue...not a billers preference...we are not all Clones, we are as different with our preferences as in our appearance. A biller opting into a closed arrangement of consolidation or direct only without an additional avenue to 12 Million PFM users. Runs the risk that the consumer won't accept their presentment method. Like having one item, and one item only on a Menu at a Resturant. I like Chicken, so let's serve Chicken....Fact is I prefer Cows over Chicken, Mamma likes Fish and the Kids like Chicken , so whoever is serving up Cows, Fish & Chickens is going to get my business The Vendor that offers the biller a full menu and is happy with the business they get, will do well, CheckFree. Because the Biller who offers the customer Cow, when they want a Chicken....is a risky venture for the Biller...not to mention the Fish angle.
