Oh that makes me mad! I hate the fact that the federal government is forcing people into this lifelong employee/employer relationship where the obvious trend is towards self-employment and contract workers. I hate to admit this but Newt was my biggest ally on this one. The IRS is totally against independent consultants. They passed all those restictions on the home office deduction and they audit all the Schedule-Cs they can get their hands on. That is one agency that really needs overhauling badly.
