If you want to follow the philosophy of the average "Gold-Bug" you could say that the gold stocks had been over sold. But by the action of the XAU {etc stocks} the downtrend is still intact. Tax loss selling is a possible concern {but the asks are not chasing the bids down} Those Asain exporters may not keep their US$, but they are in all essence in a depression. Britian is in a full recession, and Germany is still teatering on oblivion. Where's the best growth prospects: USA. Looking at the US Dollar index today, which went up with GOLD, suggests that one of them is wrong. My guess GOLD. Currencies trade in a larger volume than gold in any single day.

Becareful on stocks that open higher, and go down. Such as ABX on open. This is a technical weak signal. I believe I said that MY technical resistance level for the XAU is 67.5, but from last week it broke at 69.5. So a bounce back to 68.5 is to be expected
