Sorry, I don't know how to embed sound at eBay, so I can't help you with the HTML code.

However, if I was looking at an auction that had sound, I'd probably be so annoyed I wouldn't bid. Not sure you want to offend any potential bidders. And don't forget people who bid from work computers, you think they want music suddenly playing while they are supposed to be working? :-)

Urlman,

I've never added an item to e-bay, but here is a script
that I use on my web page to allow people to control a
midi sound playing on one of my pages. In order to get this
to play on e-bay's web page, you would need to upload your midi
file to e-bay's site, plus designate that directory
in the src=" " below.

<EMBED SRC="titanic.mid" autostart="true" autoload="true" LOOP="false" control="console" WIDTH="144" heigth="25" volume="70%"></P>
<FONT FACE="Arial" SIZE=2><P ALIGN="CENTER">Titanic Theme!

This obviously is a midi sound consisting of the Titanic theme
which has a control panel interface for the user to start or
stop play. Since it has autostart on true it should start playing
as soon as the user goes to that web page.

Hope this helps.

Go E-bay.
