this news won't hurt (given Samsung's relationship with Cymer) True, it wont hurt.... but it may not help much. Daewoo Electronics is involved in consumer products, telecommunications, and home appliances. It is not a semiconductor powerhouse. Moreover, it looks like the LG and Hyundai semiconductor units will merge by December 25, and it is unclear how this will affect their overall capital equipment spending for DUV equipment. These are interesting times.....
