Au contraire.....it is NOT that difficult...

From what has been written, it APPEARS that what they have done is of no great monetary consequence. We don't KNOW the ATT relationship 'cause SFAD won't specifically explain. Which is what happens often when the details are not wanted to be made public. What have they done that is so special? Geez, I've got relationships with ATT, NT, MS, etc... and could say that I've made a deal with them, when it may be no more than a marketing agreement or some such. From what YOU supplied concerning the ATT "contract", it appears that it is merely a marketing agreement. If it were more than that, SFAD would/should elaborate, and add credibility to themselves.

Don't underestimate those who may post objective, albeit opposing viewpoints. It is not you that should defend/support SFAD's positions, but SFAD itself. I presume, being so "competent", they can do as much. Don't take my opposing views personally either...they are not meant to be in the least. Skepticism is healthy. And where can I get a pair o' them glasses? ;)

David,

I am a network professional, and have designed sites that include internet commerce.

It is a difficult task indeed, but not *that* difficult. And I am sure you could 'partner' with AT&T by PAYING them to design and host a site for you.

As to international networking... Thats nothing. If they actually warehouse the products they sell, then there is no need to worry about anything other than ordering... If they have products drop shipped from manufacturers, once again.. the internet actually provides adaquate network for that communication. Many simple proprietary systems could also be used. Of course if all they are is a site of links... (not saying they are... we don't know yet do we?)

Technically it's all doable. In fact it is being done by many other sites.

It's the business logistics that are really paramount. Relationships, and protocol must be developed before they are ever gonna sell a single Gucci watch.
