I would disagree with your assessment.
There was no "outcry" for news release. The company did not have to release news to keep shareholders "pacified".
If there had been an outcry for news and the news release was indeed inconsequential, you would have seen a sell off by disappointed investors. This did not happen!

Again, this news release is important in its implications: DGIV is here, it is working. it is shipping its products, it is negotiating for contracts.... I think the news release is more important than at first glance. Of course it is only my opinion. Time will tell :)

Even the software I've created is now Y2K compliant, but I didn't issue a press release!

Let's not jump to conclusions on that....I would prefer to call it poor judgement, and hope better things are on the way. Either way, the stock price will get to the proper value over time, no matter what we say here.

Actually Jane that news wasn't for you or me it was for the customers of Digitcom and their distributors customers;

"Resound users should contact their dealer to take advantage of this
program. Implementation will involve a visit by their dealer's
trained technician to their site while remote access to their system
is made via modem by Digitcom's technical support
personnel. A minimal interruption of service will be necessary, so
early scheduling is recommended."

It is a case of a company putting its customers first. i'm sure that the software leaves a time/date stamp on the messages and it has to but addressed before time runs out. I'm hoping that your the cyberbitch that you refer to yourself as and will self destruct on the stroke of midnight.

Have a nice day
