Hi Michael,

Sometimes you have to make an educated guess with the limited amount of information that you have at your disposal.

Yep. Tis often so. Small private oil companies usually do only have limited resources. So, out of necessity, I need to make quick and reliable "estimates" or I'll be out of business. I do not have the time, the in-house expertise or the financial resources necessary to exhaustively analyze and predict global politics, global economies, and to precisely quantify future energy supplies world wide, future global energy demand, the future competition from alternate energy sources, future environmental and other tariffs, future royalty structures, future operating costs, etc. Unfortunately, these deficiencies mean that I am unable to precisely quantify NAV's !!

But, by adopting a reasonable unit standard reserve value, I do short cut the process, I finish my valuations quickly, and I have time for a couple of beers at the end of the day !! And, I don't fall into a trap of believing that my evaluations are precise because I know how they were derived. I do KNOW that I was unable to precisely quantify absolutely everything that impacts NAV !! :-) :-) :-)

...did not say "... drove out in their wood panel covered station wagons..."

I guess he didn't see me the day I took Ms. grayhairs car!! <LOL>

Later,
