June.Jane,

Get a grip! You ask:

<<But what is the need to tell the world about it? Didnt notice IBM doing so.>>

Then when someone proves that Microsoft (yeah, it's not IBM, but same magnitude of business) is indeed telling the world, you get all stupid and go completely berserk! Now, if you are going to make a comment about something you didn't notice, then you need to expect someone to try to prove you wrong. You were proved wrong.

Ask you local bank or brokerage what their concerns are. My bank is worred about the Y2K problem and I would like to hear them announce that it is all well and good. From the smallest to the largest, the government is requiring companies to be Y2K compliant. Why shouldn't it be made known? Heck, they may be "required" to show they are. It's called "covering all bases".

It a small thing Jane/June and you have grown it all out of proportion.

btw..in an earlier post today Coffee Pot used a word that is a "June/Jane trademark". He used "welp" in a sentence instead of well. I was just wondering. Can you prove you AREN'T also Coffee Pot? There are several simularities and I was wondering if you could prove you aren't one and the same using 2 different ID's. I know you will probably say it here, but can you prove it?

E'Lane... surprised june/jane didn't use "latte machine" as her 2nd alias

June, as usual you missed the point I was trying to make. I am saying the relevance of a Company announcing Y2K plans.

If a World Class organization such as Microsoft announces plans what wrong with another World Class Next Gen Telco annoucing their Y2K compliancy.

Furthermore, like I said it is a safeguard against lawsuits.

Try Again,
Mark

LOL at junes incompetency for common sense.
