The jdk 1.2 aka java 2 first impressions: It has a bit more pep on the gui side with the jfc/swing package running at allmost an acceptable level but it still is way toooo sloooooooow.this is on a 200mhz pentium w/o mmx and a 2 meg video card.Also it seems the compiler is alot slower.I am a bit dissapointed and worried.Sun is turning into msft...lots of sizzle but little steak. They need to get this product stable and make it fast enough to run on production systems and stop trying to keep adding neato state of the art JUNK.
