Cigar, Sorry but I have never been a big fan of the industry -- which is structured to pass excess costs along to the consumer rather than cut extra expenses -- and of middle men anywhere. What wal mart did to the distributors will happen to agents/brokers here, and Healthaxis.com will be the first concerted blow. You and I both know that is correct, as the word I get is the industry associations are already gearing up to lobby. But in my view the reality is that this is a new world, and the small business owners who are getting their renewals for health insurance with 20%+ premium increases will pressure even harder. Why should insurance be different than any other industry. Excess capacity and unintelligent costs must evaporate or the industry suffers longer term. Its happening to banks and will happen here. That's why this stock makes so much sense to me.
