RE: White Russians Its hell, isn't it? We can't call them "White Russians" because that means Byelo-Russians, and we can't call them "Caucasian Russians" because that means Georgians, and Armenians, etc. How about referring to them as "Russians" and everyone else by their nationality -- like Chechens, Lithuanians, Kazakh, Uigurs, etc. or maybe "Non-Russians." No need to bring race into these things. My best Russian friend is quite proud of his Kazakh grandmother. She got him into the Asian caucus of his professional society.
