What is in this case for States Attornys General anyway? In the case of tobacco, there was lots of money. In the case of MSFT, the punishment will not be a huge settlement.

The current DOJ case will definitely have an impact in the year 2000 presidential election. So many people in this country hold MSFT, so many mutual fund hold MSFT, and so many people put their 401k money into MSFT for their retirement, and these people definitely will like the government which is against free competition
and MSFT out of the picture. The Clinton's sex scandal is definitely a good example.
The Republican emphasize too much on sex, but less on social security, tax, social program, economy , ...etc, which had most of impact on people's everyday life, and that is why Republican lost !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
