Orbit and all,

I really apologize for inflicting all of this Y2K stuff on the BK thread. However, I have been making a number of "predictions" based upon personal conversations and contacts here in DC. However, it seems that the media has lately been doing a much better job or analyzing the collateral damage that Y2K may pound the global economy with.

And although those who state that "There is no evidence that Y2K will result in major disruptions" are technically and semantically correct, their dysfuntional logic does not contradict that opposite view of "There is no evidence that Y2K WON'T result in major disruptions.

But we all know that market despise uncertainty and there exists compelling evidence that if anything, Y2K harbors vast uncertainties for the future.

Here's another link from Australia:

I hadn't realized that Germany depends on Russia for 40% of its power.

And Russia is basically doing nothing about Y2K.

Regards,

Ron
