Microsoft Call option volume:

Jan 130 6236 Contracts
Jan 135 5425 Contracts
Jan 140 6920 Contracts
Jan 145 5786 Contracts

Wow, dats a lot 'o contracts. Makes me sad I rolled up my calls
on Friday. I woulda made a whole lot more than the lousy 400%
that is in my money market account now. But I did pick up the
135's on Friday which leaves a Delta of about .5.

And, Toy, I'm wondering, do you think that a sand leather interior
or a black interior goes better with a smoke gray Mercedes? I just can't seem to make up my mind. The lighter interior is nicer in
the summer, but the black looks a little nicer. But I'm absolutely
set on the smoke gray.

What was that you said about Java protocols and Windows NT bugs?

Hehehehe

With regard to South Carolina dropping the case. The state attorney general outlined his major reasons for dropping the case. We should write our own attorneys general from the remaining 19 states to assist them in arriving at the same conclusion.

I'm going to use many of the same arguments outlined by the South Carolina A.G. As was stated earlier, the attorneys general are particularly vulnerable to public opinion. Clearly the AOL-Netscape timing is perfect for sending email that makes clear our concern with government intervention in the technology marketplace.

As stated by the South Carolina Attorney General, the Aol-Netscape merger demonstrates that there is no monopoly in the internet space. Let's try and influence the outcome.

This article points out just how desperate MSFT is!

On an off day, Microsoft tries a
little antitrust spin

Some highlights....

The SC State is a big deal and a sign of hope for MSFT?

They also hailed the surprise departure of
South Carolina from the suit as evidence of
momentum in their case. There, Attorney
General Charlie Condon said the
AOL-Netscape deal had convinced him there was no danger of "monopoly over access to the Internet."

Marc Wirzel, spokesman for New York Attorney General Dennis Vacco, said the exit would have "zero effect" on the case going forward.

Sounds like one of the main State AG's (new York) doesnt agree with all you CheerLeaders!

Now for a statement from MSFT that is soo funny to read because it is SOO hipocritical!!

Microsoft officials also accused government officials of attempting to try the case in the press instead of the courts.

Rule, who served in a Reagan administration noted for its reluctance to bring antitrust proceedings, chastised government attorneys for speaking too freely with the press.

"The government and Microsoft's competitors are trying to turn this case into a PR spectacle, probably because they know they have a weak case," he said. Added Warden: "Their real focus seems to be an attempt to influence public opinion against Microsoft."

So exactly who had the Press Conference today?!?!?!? If this wasnt such a serious case - it would make for a great comedy act.

What a bunch of Jokers!
