OT-OT WWW II: That should be very obvious to all. QT: I was not responding to any prior posting other than Sig's to Victoria Gate MD. WWW II :I sometimes wonder if the rather deranged volatility of the market is the fault of the market itself or just random cognition. QT: There is some evidence to suggest that in one of the most volatile of areas ( The Internet Stocks ) it is the Day Traders, and the tools available to them, that are creating problems for the large and small investor as well as the Market Makers. My understanding is that new rules are, in the making, designed to create a more orderly market. WWW II: In other words, if the fluctuations are in the best interest of the Fed or the Fed is in the best interest of it. I am not going to ramfulsholl any of this unless I hear from you. QT:The "Market" as read is interpreted in different ways. For me, I view it as history, (financial past performances). I cull out what I believe to be valid for me. I use that information for my purposes (probability based decision implementation). Here are the assumptions I make: The Fed sees the Market similarly. The Fed is influenced by the Market and influences the Market. QT is influenced by the Market and does not, for all practical purposes, influence the Market. In all cases the Market is the greater, the Fed is the lesser and QT is but a bit of sand on the investment beach. :) WWWII: I like the little rock off the big boot. Can you clarify it for me?? My reference in French to Sig was my way of chiding ( Sig and I are friendly) for his reference to a bastardized form of English depicted by Sig as Sicilian in a post that was influenced by Victoria Gate MD's use of the English language. I hope all of this was interpreted as light hearted banter by our threadster Victoria Gate MD. What I said to Sig in poor French was that he did better in French than he did in Sicilian. I also said I have enough trouble with English . Regards, QT
