Double ouch! 12/08/98-Urgent consideration on Restructuring,,,Anyone have an idea how this will affect CREE, since Siemens is their key source of purchase?

Siemens had announced preliminary 1997/98 results on November 4, along with a plan to sell
off businesses with 17 billion marks in sales and take four billion marks in restructuring
charges.

Siemens plans to float its troubled semiconductor business which in 1997/98 posted a 1.2
billion mark loss.
But profit before income tax fell 2.8 percent to 3.44 billion marks. It had pre-tax losses of 1.2
billion marks in its semiconductors unit, which will be spun off, and a 759 milllion mark loss in
rail technology.
