shopping via the net will be more expensive than bricks and mortar due to excessive
shipping costs. i thought the whole premise here was to save customers their dollars
through efficiencies. guess that can't be done.

Skeeter,

This goes back to fulfillment. Traditional retails have the customer do fulfillment for free. The net sales require the companys to hire laborers to do this work. It also requires a lot more in packageing materials costs. The convenience is the product is delivered to ones house. I see the only way to obtain this convenience is for the consumer to pay more. There may be a limited retail e-commerce market when these retailers need to turn a profit. Business to business e-commerce makes a lot more sense.
