NSO's not for me, Stitch. Not the hardware/software combo I'm looking for in this space. By the way, you have got to check out Xiotech for me, man. This company is claiming that their RAID boxes are an order of magnitude faster than everybody else's!

westworldproductions.com

.....A product that hits the mark for the architectures of the future is the Magnitude product from XIOtech (Minneapolis, MN). XIOtech Corp., a two-year-old company led by former executives of Clariion, IBM, Tricord Systems, and other storage vendors, is shipping the Magnitude disk array. The device boasts processing speeds in excess of 90,000 I/Os per second, making it 10 times faster than any enterprise-class RAID system that we have seen. The Magnitude also includes eight high-performance fiber-based PCI ports and can be configured in RAID Levels 0, 1, 0/1, and 5.....

Here's Xiotech's homepage. Xiotech looks like it's being primed for an IPO soon. If their REDIdata tech is as good as advertised, they could have something that everybody will want to buy or license.
