<ot> Dear Sam, you sez "... As long the workers who produce all this stuff get paid "rice wages", we will inexorably be led to deflation and social/political unrest. It seems to me inevitable."

According to "The Anatomy of A Revolution," the masses would not rise until the living conditions have actually improved. This is an interesting juxaposition with the recurring theme by some of the esteemed posters here regarding Dr Maslow's actualisation theory.

But no, I do not advocate exploitation. Quite the contrary, I believe there is plenty for everyone. I think I like a middleway approach though <G>

best, Bosco

Re crappy input. I remember last year reading of the effects of a 5 mph "crash" in a standaridized test of many vehicles. The Huyundai came out worst at something like $2,300 for a "trip to the supermarket" style crash incident.

Not to pick on Korean cars but around here where they salt the roads heavily in the winter Fords last about seven years and Huyundai's about 2.5 years... before car cancer begins to devour them.

Best to you,

Clark
