V,

Plus if the collection of the debt is successful it would provide most of the funds to buy back the 4m odd shares. This deal seems like a win win situation.

I NEVER heard anything about "As a "bonus" DCTC got the rights to manage the collection from the resolution
of owed monies from the defaulting ISP under the
terms of an existing secured note for $16 million to be paid @ $250
thousand weekly." from DCI in the conference call yesterday.

From the clubhouse:

1112. Steve W. on dec 7 1998 10:09am

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The IXC Chaiman and CEO makes a comment in their press release. The Wavetech CEO makes a comment in their press release.
A vice president makes a one-line statement in DCI's press release. I don't get it. I know there have been other more important things going on with Mr. Murphy, but it only takes about 15 seconds to wordsmith a comment from the company CEO when a significant event takes place. ???

Couldn't agree more!!!!

Birney,

The release yesterday was slanted (IMO) to make IXC look better in the light of it's recent stock decline while paying limited homage to DCI. To me, the superficial read like a third party ego trying to "save face" instead of applauding a unified camaraderie that is a great benefit to both companies.

I'm certain that the IXC press release was completely out of Joe Murphy's hands. It's entire ambience was a non sequitur to what is a normal, lucid release from DCI. The ambient release itself was clumsy and murky as to the real benefit to DCI, but with minimal rubbing the shine is already coming through. Therefore I wholly agree with you that yesterday was a killer release. There was simply a little coal dust on the diamond.

As far as immediate response to clarify, what the hell MORE can we expect??? Joe Medsker IMMEDIATELY set up an open conference call with our CEO Joe Murphy to clarify all comments. Again, I have never been invested in a company that responds with such immediacy to shareholder concerns. I again thank Joe Medsker and Joe Murphy.

Also, just look at the incredible amounts of energy many of the people on this thread have expended on this thread just to keep us all informed. This selflessness is a warm rarity...anywhere.

For those who are shaky right now take a little profit off the table. If you've stopped believing, take your profits and thank the heavens you live in such a country where such things are possible. For me, I'm not selling one share.

Egos. What a useless waste of energy in this infinite universe. Uni+verse translated means "One Song." Working together graciously is where we find our highest strength and meaning. Too bad the esquired authors of that press release didn't get that "uni+versal" truth.

Time will prove we're all gonna be more than fine Birney. <G>

Onward,

George

I reiterate that the true cost of gaining access to the European
infrastructure could be from: " Almost free to $2million, between
$2million - $18million, or up to $22million " depending on the success
of efforts to enforce the terms of the secured note. I tried to check
out Discount Communications for their assets but they are a private
company. Are their any sleuths or private eyes on this thread who
could track this info down?
I'm getting so exited about this deal that I'm starting to get a boner.
Oh, Honey, wanna go to bed?.......................................V
