He just sees things differently than you do. There is strength right now in demand for semiconductors. That implies future orders for equipment. And you have to keep in mind that the whole semi market is manic-depressive. In the manic stage stocks will reach highs that are patently ridiculous, but we aren't there just yet. In the depressive stage we reach absurd lows. This allows investors who keep an ey on the longer term perspective to buy at low prices during depressive states, secure in the knowledge that another manic period will surely follow. Keep your eye on the changes in direction, not on the current position.

As I have said, I expect this manic stage to run at least through next spring.
