Ok, but what is the DOJ or the judge to do if Microsoft makes claims like this:

"The only way to get Windows to compile correctly necessitated removing Netscape."

"We get more economic efficiencies if we disable RealAudio."

"The programmers write better code if we make our Java incompatible with Sun's."

We programmers know and, with enough time, could probably explain why these arguments are all bogus. But if you start with the presumption that Microsoft is the final arbiter of what its economic priorities are, then whats to prevent them from lying through their teeth about their priorities?
