Off Topic MSFT GETS A REBEL YELL! (Thanks to the Bill who really is an Idol.) But Bill Gates rocks, too! So the big news is that South Carolina is dropping out of the MSFT antitrust suit! With AOL's acquisition of Netscape, the state feels that there's plenty of competition in the Internet market. In a way less important development (at least for MSFT), Microsoft and Barnes and Noble announced that B&N will be the exclusive online bookseller on MSN. (BKS added $3 5/8.) No one seemed to care that Microsoft ALSO said it found a minor Year 2000 bug in Windows '98. (Not that anyone! ! should care, because it is minor.) Anyway, Microsoft finished the day up $6 3/16 at a new all-time high of $133 9/16!
