Update: I snore no more (or very little). My wife is happy to be sleeping through the night and I'm happy not being poked and awakened to be told that I'm snoring. I'd say the procedure was worth the $2400 it cost although the back of my throat still feels strange. I need to ask the Dr. about that. Somnus stock has done almost nothing although trading it has paid for most of the procedure. I look at VISX, which treats nearsightedness with laser surgery and still have hopes for SOMN. Both are elective procedures, not covered by insurance and I think that the eye surgery is more expensive. Personally, if I had to choose between the two I'd opt for the snoring elimination. I know my wife would vote that way. Actually I do wear contacts and am very happy with them and would not consider paying for eye surgery to eliminate wearing them. Anyway, didn't mean to ramble on but I did want to put an update on the board.
