Just a little question about the chip rate...

I am no expert in the field, but why should a Global standard be harmonized to a minority (i.e., the chip rate for IS-95 operators, as there are not that many compared to TDMA based systems)?

If Ericsson has given a little, can we expect Qualcomm?
I heard from a reliable source that in a Korean conference recently a cdma2000 champion said that the BST connection could be asynchronous. Is this the give (if it is true)?

The symbolism, is of course, correct. Well just have to wait and see the game unfold. There is nothing like a little pressure to get things moving PDQ (Pretty Damn Quick, and nothing to do with a recently announced PDA/phone ;-)

Hopefully know more tomorrow evening.

Regards,
Mika
PS DaveMG...you have seen the light, but why only 500 million TDMA subscribers maybe!
