The fact is, Win 2000 will be a superior product. The Y2K glitches in Win98 were all self-reported and totally inconsequential. If Linux or any other OS were subjected to the scrutiny that Windows is, there is now way that they would measure up to the Windows standard. That NASDAQ is adopting NT as its operating system shows that NT scales and that large corporations will continue to flock to it as the OS and networking solution. I think the combination of Win 2000, the trend toward Windows in the corporate networking and database environments and the huge impact that Office 2000 will have on revenues points to continued strong growth for the next 2 years, at least.
