VMan,

At face value it certainly does seem worthless. Assuredly lots is happening behind closed doors. Hopefully this really does symbolize motion in the right direction, but I also don't see any reason to believe it does up to now.. Dave

Vman:

You are correct, this is not a positive for Qualcomm... unless they take a proactive stance and issue a press release stating that they have already turned down this chip rate as degrading to the system's capabilities. Qualcomm needs to state repeatedly that they informed Ericson (give the date) that it is no 'comprimise'. Perhaps we can get Qualcomm management to come out of their shell and address this Ericson statement and expose it for the lame attempt to influence world opinion that it is.

It is a simple enough thing to do but something that must be done and it must be done repeatedly. Remember we are dealing with the global press. The principle of 'KISS' applies, Qualcomm should say "Let us test it in the lab and see what set up works the best, see you at (some neutral lab) on Tuesday - winner take all."

How tough is that?
