scb: This appears to be an unholy alliance. The Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) whose influence has waned almost to nothing, from a time when it counted all the leading members of the Labour Party in its ranks. Frankly I am astonished to see it is still around. One of the mortal enemies of the CND was the Telegraph, a right wing, reactionary newspaper. It is amazing that they would co-operate on a story like this. But politics make strange bedfellows.

In the UK we are very used to scaremongering press stories on every conceivable subject. So my first reaction is to wait and see. I would not be at all surprised to find out that this is badly informed and mischievous.
