Thank you Michelle. I find it really interesting that all of these folks claim collusion, but not one of them can figure out how it is done, or how it makes anyone money. I used to be in the securities business where I did M&A work and developed several derivative securities which were traded by and between insurance companies. I saw lots of games, but there is no way these various financial houses could possibly collude to the extent being pushed.

I also suspect that people don't understand the difference between market makers, and fund managers. They also don't seem to understand that many institutional trades are negotiated directly and bypass market makers. But conspiracies are such wonderful things. You can explain anything using them, and when the data don't bear you out, well you simply point out that that is more evidence of how subtle it is.

So tell me, who was really on the grassy knoll? And why have I seen more traffic helicopters lately?
