Chris, would you say "the gospel" and the "truth" are the same thing?

Chris,
The truth is a very subjective thing. It is frequently a matter of perception and interpretation.

There are very few Universal truths. Many times(but granted, not all the time) People become very unpopular because something they are saying or doing is rubbing people wrong at a very basic level, where the Universal truths do exist. I am in no way saying that you are guilty of that, just trying to make a statement that very few things are so cut and dried that we can afford to be so rigid that we become intolerant of people unlike us.

Chris,

"I am getting a greater appreciation for those pastors and teachers who continue to preach the truth at the expense of becoming very unpopular. "

If you preach the truth, you will obviously become unpopular with non-Christians. But when you become unpopular with Christian brother's and sister's, than consider what your teaching....

A very, very important distinction!!!!!!!

God Bless,
Steve
