You said in your paragraph what Paul also said: 1 Cor. 2:1 When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. the good news. the Gospel. ((( Note taken, but then I don't suppose the gospel ever goes out without fierce resistence. I am getting a greater appreciation for those pastors and teachers who continue to preach the truth at the expense of becoming very unpopular. ))) Do you have a feeling that you are resisted or the message is resisted? Going way past the boundries of JESUS is LORD ,even within the church, I know of people that publish "lists" of "good congregations and bad congregations" .Why? Because they do not agree with everything done at those "bad" congregations. So now we have "religious police?" So again I ask you , what "truth" are you talking about when you say what you say? Are you saying that there are Christians here that deny that Jesus Christ is Lord? If so, then by way of going to them with a witness, do so. Call it black and white or let it be. Has Alan or Nancy denied that Jesus is Lord? Has shalom? Has Donald? have I? I know Emile may say at this point that the Talmud denies Jesus, although I have never read it, I would tend to believe that statement, but I see no Christian here supporting the Talmud. Do you? A lot of what these arguments are about, are form not substance, and I do the same thing with a lot of the things I beleive to be true. And I am sure we will enter those arguments again. But the basic, the truth, the Gospel, is there. dan
