One never knows for sure but the action of recent past was obviously due in part to short covering. However, some of this action could be short positions averaging into recent new losing positions. Other short trading could be attributed to existing short positions averaging into existing profitable positions. Either way, the volatility and volume is reminiscent of market bottoms. To boot, find me a TA computer program that is going to trip a sell signal if we make a quad bottom. We also have, an edge of seasonality , and finally, don't all short positions eventually have to be covered; ......gregor
