Speaking as a long term (Los Angeles) lurker on this thread and as someone who owns 3500 shares of PIXR at an avg. purchase price of $28 I can only caution patience. The stock's drop is a classic case of "buy on the rumor, sell on the news," exacerbated by the gap going forward till ABL's immense success hits the bottom line. I also think worldwide boxoffice will be an equally nice surprise on the upside, too. Plus, a pal/line producer at Disney tells me the mood on what they've seen on "Toy Story II" (out in a year) is very positive. I also think the merchandising for ABL will be monster. A recent (two weeks ago) Merrill Lynch analysis of ABL/PIXAR provided a tiered estimate of ABL's ultimate gross, extrapolating from possible initial weekend grosses. Matching what we now know from that weekend with the equivalent tier in ML's piece gives, according to their estimation, a current "fair value" of about 65 for the stock. So, hey.
