This should be good for Advance Fibre Communications since Telabs uses their equipment. Stock oversold. We should see it move up tomorrow.

Do you folks believe this was the contract that TLAB
supposedly lost to CSCO a few weeks back???

I'm waiting for the new product announcement.
70s should be here soon... TLAB is back in-play in
the eyes of the speculators/investors ...

Tellabs - SmartMoney Pick
Shares of the communications equipment manufacturer were up in Monday trading, thanks to a Sprint (FON) conference call Friday, during which the long distance company made positive comments about Tellabs' AN 2100, a transmission device that combines voice and data over a single network, says analyst Chandran Sarkar of Soundview Technology Group. He also believes analysts are generally more positive about the company because it is on track to meet its earnings projections of 59 cents a share for the fourth quarter. "It's still our favorite among telecom stocks because it's growing at 30% a year with a P/E of 25 –- very few S&P 500 companies are doing that," say Sarkar.

Parker/Hunter also initiated coverage of the Tellabs with a Buy recommendation.
