I can't believe I am going to post this, because I HATE rumor and hype...However, various YAHOO! posters are claiming that AOL is looking to buy WAVO. While it could make sense in the long run, I see no justification for that sort of "hype" post, other than to continue to give WAVO a bad name, but just by the mere chance it becomes reality...I thought I would post it here.

Maybe the rumor was the basis for some of the day end buying, in addition to the market attempting to rally back.

Why would CNBC's response be a hoax? This is the e-mail from them that preceded Mark Haine's repy:

This is to confirm that your email to CNBC's Squawk Box
has been received. If your message contained a question for a
Squawk Box guest, it has been forwarded to Mark Haines and he will
do his best to ask it on the air. If your comments were addressed to
a specific person on CNBC's Squawk Box, your message has been
forwarded to their internal email box. If your comments were
about the program itself, they will be brought to the attention
of the appropriate manager or producer. If you sent a question asking
for investment advice or buy/sell opinions involving a specific stock
or stocks, we will not be able to respond. Our "Taking Stock" segment
DOES NOT take emailed questions.
If you asked a question regarding our "ticker" at the bottom
of the screen, a ticker guide is available by calling 1-201-346-2136

ticker guide online at our website: cnbc.com. Our website
also contains a list of the guests scheduled to be interviewed.
Each day's list is posted at around 6:00 PM ET the evening before.

The "response from CNBC" may be a hoax. The questions appear to be accurate, however Mark Haines did not conduct the interview he was out on Jury Duty.

The author of the email did say something to the effect of "had I been there" he would have asked him about past sales.
