McMannis - Re: "Would you be shocked if IBM skipped the 400 and went right to the 450?"

Yes I would.

My sources have informed me that IBM will be opting for a 500 MHz K7 notebook to be introduced the day after Christmas.

This will be followed by a 900 MHz K7 notebook in Q2 of 1999.

Jim - Re: "an obscure little boxmaker named Proteva is offering
K6-2-400s...Before you laugh, you'll want to know this is the HSN..."

Sorry - I laughed before I saw your note. Proteva - sounds like something used for the prevention of AIDS.

What is HSN ?

Paul

Jim,

Re: "Would you be shocked if IBM skipped the 400 and went right to the 450?"

Are you "kidding around" again, Jim ... Is AMD demand or supply constrained ??
I'm sure you will come back Jim and tell me how AMD is using their capacity
to build inventory of the 450mhz K6-2's for a number of tier 1's. <ggg>

Make It So,
Yousef
