Poet..TJ

Very good comments..

Maybe the decision has already been made..
is there a concensus yet on the "trade duration"
aspect of the situations we uncover???I agree that
there can be alot of confusion in constantly switching
from day trade ideas..overnite news plays..3 or 4
day momentum plays...rumored take-overs..playing for
gaps..fundamental long term holds..etc etc..

How specific do we want to be here and
what type of situations do most people feel
comfortable trying to exploit..I was kicking around
the idea of starting a thread focused on two types
of day trades that I've found profitable over the
years...

Trading Opening Gaps and
Late Day momentum plays...see SEEK today

with the idea of being flat at the end of each
trading day..win or lose..

If Jeff and the rest of you think that would be
appropriate here..I would be interested in trying
to co-ordinate ideas in those areas..

Jim in CT..

Sorry for delayed response - had to leave thread last night till now.
Yes, if the board has mutli time frame stock picks (day, 2-5 day, month, LT whatever) it would be valuable for all to know the time frame. Also agree that excessive verbage ("the rockets leaving", etc) can often lead to UNWARRENTED enthusiasm and sometimes (at least in my case) hasty decisions. In fact this is something all potential day traders must learn - don't get too caught up in the gambling type emotion that can occure with the type of talk that goes on.

Thanks
