That's a tough one!!!

Each situation is unique..but read the preamble
of the class-action being filed..you can't
sue and win because the price of a stock went
down. I call those "sour grapes" suits..but
fraud or the acqusation of fraud is a different
matter..stay away..far away from any situation
where "accounting irregularities" or "restatment
of prior earnings" type comments are made..

As a general rule of thumb assume that
bad news begets more bad news..

Melinda - I have followed many issues with class actions against them and although I would prefer to see no suits filed, I have not seen a case yet where it has seriously affected the trading action of an issue. This does not include patent infringement or other more serious lawsuits however.
