I often wonder how many "Christians" would recognize a second coming if Christ chose to return poor, female, and black....

Steve,
Perhaps this was the case the first time? Given the miracles attributed to Jesus, it wouldn't have been hard for her to have hid her gender, right? Surely a lot easier than raising people from the dead or walking on water. And also, since she wasn't married, who would know?

Steve,
That's funny but Jesus told us exactly what to look for. The surprises will be to those who followed the anti-christ because he dazzled them with his marvels, signs and wonders. When they see Jesus return "as the lightning flashes from the east to the west, and everyone will see the Son of Man coming with great glory", then they will mourn. The anti-christ may try to deceive us by also appearing in a like manner so we have other ways also to tell, like the witness of the Holy Spirit in ourselves.
